Humayun Azad (28 April 1947 – 12 August 2004) was a Bangladeshi creator, writer, researcher and language specialist. He composed more than seventy titles. He is viewed and respected as the most effective and compelling essayist in the historical backdrop of cutting edge Bengali writing. His works against religious fundamentalism got both positive and negative audits. He was debilitated and assaulted by Islamist fundamentalist gatherings for his works.
Azad was conceived in the town of Rarhikhal in Bikrampur, Munshiganj area on 28 April 1947.[3] He earned BA degree in Bengali dialect and writing from University of Dhaka. He acquired his PhD in semantics from the University of Edinburgh in 1976. He later served as an employee of the branch of Bengali dialect and writing at the University of Dhaka.[3] His initial vocation created chips away at Bengali semantics, outstandingly sentence structure. He is viewed as a main etymologist of the Bengali dialect.
Towards the end of the 1980s, he began to compose daily paper section concentrating on contemporary socio-political issues. His analyses proceeded all through the 1990s and were later distributed as books as they developed in numbers. Through his works of the 1990s, he set up himself as a freethinker and seemed, by all accounts, to be a skeptic. In his works, he transparently reprimanded religious radicalism, and also Islam, the significant religion in Bangladesh.
